Yup, that means party food temptations!! There was a popcorn bar, cookies, cupcakes, candy, punch and a veggie tray – yay!! There is hope!
Despite a miriad of yummy treats, I kept my eye on the prize - it's kind of like making a big purchase; be willing to walk away, even if you really want a goody. Think about it, know how many calories you have available, and what time it is. Remember not to eat carbs after 7pm.
As for the rest of the party...
We played games, ran around, danced like maniacs and had a great time, starting off the year with a bash!
Tip of the Day
When trying to avoid temptation at a party, bring and hang out near the veggie tray end of the goodies!
Also, when at a party, if there is any opportunity – dance! It helps burn extra calories and it's fun!!
Food
Breakfast: toast and jam, HBE's, fruit salad
Lunch: half a PB&J and salad
Snack: a banana
Dinner: HBE's and a coleslaw & tomato sandwich
Snack: Air-popped popcorn and veggies from the party tray!
Exercise
I took a day off. I was really busy and I haven't been feeling well – there's a tummy bug going around at work. I woke up feeling weak, dizzy and nauseas, it came and went throughout the day and left me feeling really fatigued. Boo on being sick :(
