Day 79: Pan-Seared Brussels Sprouts 6/7

I love adding nutritious, powerhouse vegetables like Brussels sprouts to a fantastic, delicious, and easy dish like this one!

It's day 6 of the 7 Days of Thanksgiving! Today we are making Pan-Seared Brussels Sprouts, which is another green addition to your holiday meal.

Some folks don't know what they, are.. my husband calls them “baby cabbages”.

This will make a fanatic out of even the worst skeptic.

Pan-Seared Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients
1 pound Brussel sprouts, de-stemmed and halved
1 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
1/2 cup pecans
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
You MISTO
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp thyme
Salt & pepper

Instructions
First, steam the sprouts for 8 min. Then, spray skillet with your MISTO and heat over medium heat. Season Brussel sprouts with salt & pepper and herbs in skillet. Cook sprouts for 5-10 minutes, until sprouts begin to brown. Then, add balsamic vinegar and stir to coat and remove from heat. Toss sprouts, cranberries, and pecans in a large bowl. Top with Gorgonzola and serve.

You can feel good about serving this dish because it's so pretty as well as being healthy! It is so festive, with the bright greens and reds, that you may find a few extra folks gathering around you in the kitchen as you prepare it, just to ooh and ahh! It looks like a Christmas tree in a bowl!

Thanks so much for reading all!
