Day 67: A Bar, a Beer and a LOT of Football

Hey friends, I'm sorry I am writing so late. There is a story there.

Today has been a very full day. My hubby and I went to church, went to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch and to watch the Seahawks game, then home to watch more football, try to tackle some of the house projects right now (our house is a DISASTER AREA) and then off to a bar, where I babysat drunk guys (or at least my guy) for five hours! This leads us to tip of the day...

TIP OF THE DAY
In order to survive going out to a bar (bar food and easy-to-drink alcoholic beverages) here's the tip. It's actually two-part, and although it sounds like no fun, it will work.

Rule #1: eat before you go! At home, you can control what you put into your mouth, you know exactly what you are eating - at a bar, well, they have bar food. When was the last time you saw anything that resembled a salad on a bar menu? Yeah, that's what I thought. The only food they have is deep-fried or some kind of burger, slathered with mayo, cheese and bacon. Take my advice: eat at home.

Rule #2: before you leave for the bar, be resolved to be the DD. That's right, you're the designated driver, so no booze for you! Even just drinking "a beer" can lead to making more bad choices, including more beer and/or bar food. Save yourself the trouble of hating yourself in the morning for a hangover and eating/drinking too many caloires.

So, at the bar, I had no food, I had one beer, and then became the DD, after the booze wore off. My hubby was hanging with his team mates for a send-off for one of them and didn't want to leave. REALLY. We stayed until midnight, and he was the last one to leave. They were wiping down tables and turning off the gaming machines. I need to make it clear that my husband doesn't often do this kind of thing, and can be kind of stubborn when he is drunk. We sang Karaoke to one another.  It was beautiful. Anyway, we came home and he crashed out on the couch.

And as for the rest of the day...

FOOD
Breakfast: a scrambled egg on honey toast sandwich
Lunch: an asian chicken salad from BWW with dressing on the side
Snack: string cheese
Dinner: cheddar potato soup
Snack: 2 "just like carrot cake" energy bites

EXERCISE
Yeah, it's my official rest day. I did't work out. I know that is becoming much-too-much the trend and it needs to stop.

Again, sorry for writing so late, thanks for reading all!
